Colorado: Rocky Mountain National Park

Colorado’s a cool state, and not just because of the whole weed thing. It’s got mountains, 300+ days of sunshine, mild winters and summers, etc. I could go on. But where else can you find 4 national parks less than a day’s drive away and countless other state parks in between? So, yeah. It’s pretty cool.

And it’s really something that I used to take for granted. But when I moved away for college, especially to some place like Nebraska, I really started to appreciate it all a whole lot more. Now, don’t get me wrong. I love a good corn field just as much as the next guy, but there’s really no comparing it to watching the sun set behind the Rocky Mountains.

So it’s really cool when you get to go back, even if it’s only for the weekend. I took a day to hike around Rocky Mountain National Park, got off the beaten path a little, and took some pictures. Here you go:
