While I had originally intended to write weekly updates reminiscing on the past week in Zurich, it seems I have gotten somewhat completely behind schedule. I don’t have an excuse; I haven’t been too busy, or lack for content. I just haven’t posted anything. Sorry.
I do, however, want to mention that I did foresee this happening. Just follow my Insta. I’ve actually been posting there every day. It seems to me like a whole lot less effort than posting weekly here, though it’s a whole different forum and I quite like them both.
I’m rambling. I don’t even know what to write. What do you want to hear? That I’m alive? Well, it looks like I am. I’m currently sitting in the kitchen typing this up, sipping wine while I wait for my zucchini to dehydrate a bit so I can toss it with some pasta.
It actually ended up tasting pretty good!
It’s almost been two months that I’ve called Zurich my home. And not much has changed since since my first week here. I’ve explored the city enough to give semi-accurate directions to a few tourists, found the cheapest grocery stores (with the best selection of cheap, quality wine), and I have been hard at work learning the ins and outs of the world of design.
It’s quite amazing being able to turn creativity into a profession, and it’s even more amazing to be doing that work in Switzerland. Sure, at times the work can be a bit average, with client demands and reality reigning in on potential works of art (ha), but it takes just a quick look outside to remind me that there is almost nowhere I would rather be. Graphic design like this can be done anywhere in the world; all you need is a computer and some internet access, so I, for one, am glad that this is where I get to be.
Oh, and I even went back to Berlin for a weekend. I’d say it was to visit one of my best friends (which was awesome) but really I just wanted some Mustafa’s!

Europe is lovely in the summer, and I’ll be traveling a bit more in the coming weeks. I’ll keep posting here but It’s going to be sporadic. Follow my Insta instead.
So, if you’ve caught yourself wondering “Is Marco still alive, whatever country he’s in now?” Rest assured. It seems the answer is a resounding yes.
Where should I travel to next? (Seriously, I’m looking for suggestions 🙂 )
Onto the cool pictures (the part you’ve all been waiting for):
Oh, did I mention that my apartment was on fire?
It’s all good, now, though.
This is seriously what the sky looked like.
Until next time, and, as always,
Peace and Love <3
Marco
