Even knowing that we had way too many markets to visit within Berlin, we couldn’t help ourselves from taking a day trip out to Potsdam to visit the Christmas Markets there.
At just about a half-hour ride outside of the city, it was a great day trip with which we saw another 3 Christmas Markets. And the first especially was a real stunner.
Advent Market in the Belvedere Castle
The coolest thing about this market is that it actually took place in a castle. The vibe was pretty great even if the actual size of the market was not that huge. Free entry up into the castle was also included in the reasonably priced entry fee.

Blue Lights Christmas Market
What at first looked like a little Christmas Market down a short side street turned out to be huge, running through half of Potsdam all the way to the first Brandenburg gate.

Polish Star Market and Star Festival on the Kutschstallhof at Neuen Markt
This was another market with a few euros paid entrance fee, but once again, it was absolutely worth it. Situated in multiple connected courtyards, this market was filled with food, music, and dancing all of it Polish.
